The apartment is tastefully and fully furnished. You will sleep in a double bed (180x200 cm), a children's cot can be provided if required. There is a radio with CD player and cable TV with teletext. In 2004 the whole apartment was completely and affectionately renovated to a high standard. It was important to us that the apartment kept the charm of of the traditional Berlin tenement ("Altbau"). The apartment is very quiet, even with open windows. You can prepare your breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen (refrigerator, gas stove, washing machine, crockery, coffee machine) or you can go to one of the nearby cafés.
The apartment is in the heart of Berlin's happening and trendy district Prenzlauer Berg. After Germany's reunification a lively art and music scene has developed here, accordingly you'll find numerous galleries, art cafés, theatres, cinemas, bars, clubs, boutiques and restaurants nearby - all reachable on foot. Kollwitzplatz, the beergarden Prater, Mauerpark and the cultural center Kulturbrauerei are all just a couple of walking minutes away.
There is a tram station just a minute away. It is just a few minutes by tram to Oranienburger Straße, Hackescher Markt, Friedrichstraße or the next subway and S-Bahn (suburban train) stations. The main sightseeing attractions like Alexanderplatz, Museumsinsel, Nikolaiviertel, Unter den Linden, Friedrichstaße (Checkpoint Charlie), Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz are not far away.
