At the heart of the famous 'Kiez' (=neighbourhood) Kreuzberg 36 is this 86 square metres apartment at Cuvrystrasse. It is freshly renovated and stylishly furnished and offers a view to Görlitzer Park and to the river Spree, due to its site on the 4th floor of the front building. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials and in thevicinity you will find lots of cafés, bars, restaurants along with parks and terraces which will make your visit to Berlin a pleasant and exciting one. 'Schlesische Strasse', once a dead end in former Kreuzberg 36 has become a street of a special kind. The proximity of the river Spree, the Oberbaumbrücke, the only link between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, all the small businesses and shops, galleries, restaurants, cafés and clubs provide for a pleasant atmosphere. Directly behind the watergate-bridge, the link between Kreuzberg and Treptow, begins the former stripe of the Berlin wall with its now enormous; green fields and parks that leave space for lots of outside activities. Either by foot or by bike you can take trips on well-rebuilt streets and lanes along the river or to Plänterwald/Treptower Park. In close vicinity is the 'Badeschiff', open throughout the year from 8am to midnight as a swimming-pool in the river Spree. The apartment was excellent but we felt the cleaning fee of 60euros for two people was too much also the curtains are not lightproof in the bedroom so...
